Ok this week was definitely the worst, I haven't slept as much as I should, and I'm certainly suffering... test after test after test and homework is all I've seen this week, It's friday and I can't say: "I'll sleep when I get home this evening" because guess what: CHEMISTRY HOMEWORK plus math homework= 4 hours of sleep. I really don't know how I've survived this difficult times, maybe it is because I love my classes, and I really enjoy learning and studying, there is no other possible explanation. I feel pretty bad about my family because I have not been able to talk to them properly, whenever they call me I am either busy or in a bad mood.
But I'm looking forward to this weekend, on saturday I'll go to Chicago with some friends, and I feel like I really need to get out of town and take a rest; I don't really want to think about the bunch of homework that is waiting for me on sunday. Hopefully next week will be better, I don't have any tests, and therefore I won't be busy studying, but working on my homework.
I know exactly what you mean! I have been over loaded this week too! I’m not taking chemistry and I didn’t have any exams this week. However, I have a calculus 2 exam next week and I have been stressing out about that and physics! On top of that, we had an engineering team assignment that was “thrown” at us on Wednesday that was due today! I understand that engineering is supposed to be difficult and time consuming but I just feel so drained. I am also very committed to my studies and am still interested in what I am learning.
ReplyDeleteI am so jealous of you right now! I am from Chicago and I miss it so much. However, I am going home for fall break so I am definitely excited to see my family and friends for the first time in 2 months. It’s been tough and a break to go back home will definitely relieve so stress. ENGL 106

ReplyDeleteYep, I am totally with both of you. It is getting harder each week. I knew it would be difficult to study at Purdue, but I did not expect that it'd be as hard as now. At weekdays I usually sleep five hours a day, but I am getting used to this schedule.
ReplyDeleteMost of my time at this week was taken by engr131 homework, especially by one problem of it. Problem that concerns a “prosthetic limb that attaches directly to the bone” (!). I had to “discuss material choices, possible issues related to the integration of synthetic (i.e. man-made) materials and natural tissues...”. I did not have any idea how I can “design” such thing? I am not a Biomedical Engineer! I know I was supposed to google it, but I could not find any site that thoroughly describes prosthetic limbs and its structural design details. I spent three hours just on this example, trying to find something. Finally, I copied some sentences from Wikipedia and pasted them directly to the assignment sheet. (Jayne)
